High level policy innovation through evidence and dialogue in agriculture

The webinars are an open discussion platform on thematic areas covered under the Panel’s reports that gives the floor to country experts and high-level practitioners. During the webinars these experts share practical and operational experiences on what institutional innovations, policy /programmatic interventions and implementation modalities work the best in their countries. The Malabo Montpellier webinar series’ objective is to extend the reach of the MaMo network to a much wider audience than the Forum and the Panel events. The webinars enable an online conversation among peers and audiences interested in African agriculture, nutrition and food security. The first MaMo Panel webinar was held on 10 December 2018. 

Format of the webinars

The seminars take place every two months and last 2 hours maximum.The speakers have 30 - 45 minutes to make a presentation on his/her country experience, related to the webinar topic: irrigation, mechanization, nutrition, energy, digitalization, livestock ect.The presentations answer questions regarding operational experience, buy-in from local organizations and government,areas of improvement, institutional innovations, policy /programmatic interventions that have taken place in their country.

Following the guest speaker’s presentation, the online participants can ask their questions via email or live chat .
