MaMo Forum

The Forum provides a platform for informed dialogue and exchange among African policy makers.

A platform for exchange and mutual learning

The Malabo Montpellier (MaMo) Forum provides a platform for informed dialogue and exchange among African policy makers at the highest-level on agriculture, nutrition and food security. The MaMo Forum seeks to create a space for busy executives to exchange directly on issues of strategic importance in a context that is free from domestic pressures.

Guided by research

Every meeting of the Forum is guided by a technical report prepared by the experts gathered under the Malabo Montpellier Panel, a group of leading African and European experts from the fields of agriculture, ecology, nutrition, public policy and global development. The Panel works with African governments and civil society initiatives to provide support and evidence based research that facilitates the identification and implementation of policies that enhance agriculture, food and nutrition security.

Learn more from eachother

The combination of the Panel’s careful analysis of literature, scientific evidence and practical experience from on the ground and the Forum’s strong emphasis on evidence based exchange, dialogue and mutual learning at the highest levels, creates a unique opportunity to help sustain and broaden the recent progress towards better outcomes in agricultural transformation and economic development in Africa.
