The Malabo Montpellier (MaMo) Forum provides a platform for informed dialogue and exchange among African policymakers at the highest level on agriculture, nutrition and food security.
Meetings of the Forum are guided by technical reports prepared by the experts gathered under the Malabo Montpellier Panel, a group of 16 leading African and international experts from the fields of agriculture, ecology, nutrition, public policy, and global development. Under the leadership of its co-chairs, the Forum seeks to create a space for busy executives to exchange directly on issues of strategic importance in a context that is free from domestic pressures.
This year, the Forum will be held virtually, on June 15, 2020. The focus will be on Africa’s livestock sector and is supported by a technical report analyzing the experience of African countries, that have been at the
forefront of sustainably expanding and growing their livestock sectors to benefit local communities through institutional innovation and innovative policymaking.
As we will gather to launch the MaMo Panel’s sixth report on Africa's livestock sector, we will be joined by high-level participants including representatives at the ministerial level, senior executives of leading global development agencies, and members of the Malabo Montpellier Panel.
During the Forum participants will discuss the policy, institutional and programmatic factors, which have led to remarkable progress in several African countries and share lessons that can be learned across borders.
Note: Participation in the Malabo Montpellier Forum is by invitation only.
