Dr. Kathrin Demmler is a Research Associate for the Malabo Montpellier Panel. She is based at Imperial College London.
Kathrin Demmler joined the MaMo Panel team in January 2018 as a Research Associate. Her research interests are primarily focused on transforming food systems and nutrition, with broader interests in agricultural development, climate change and gender related issues. Previously, she worked in the interdisciplinary research training group ‘GlobalFood’ of the University of Goettingen, Germany, in close collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). She conducted data collections in Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya and published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. Kathrin holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Goettingen, Germany, and a MSc degree in Nutritional Sciences from the Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen, Germany and Ghent University, Belgium.
